Our Wines

Rosso
Our interpretation of Montepulciano d'Abruzzo. Striving to keep the alcohol content relatively low, we harvest the grapes as soon as they are ripe, balancing sugars and acidity. The body is full, with tannins present but not overpowering. A large sized glass allows for the full expression of its aromas. It has good aging potential, evolving over the years.
meno Rosso
Made from Montepulciano d'Abruzzo grapes, this rosé wine boasts excellent acidity. It's fresh on the palate and has good aging potential. Over time, its freshness transforms into body. Its flavors are
best expressed at room temperature or slightly below. The alcohol content is similar to that of a red wine and the harvests are close together.

Bianco
A blend of Trebbiano, Passerina, and Malvasia grapes, mostly Trebbiano, generally without maceration, although in some past years we have experimented with this. The rows, fully exposed to the afternoon sun, ensure the ripeness of the fruit at harvest time, which, in addition to giving our white a strong color, makes it very flavorful. As with our other wines, we always strive to keep the alcohol content relatively low. Rich fruit flavours with a hint of salt from the close by sea.
Secondamano
Repressing of the pomace from the meno Rosso (rosé). The repressing takes place immediately after processing the meno rosso. The extracted must generally has a lower alcohol content than the meno Rosso, but a more pronounced body. It ferments in 54-liter glass demijohns and is cleaned by racking (like all our wines). No sulfites are added, only those which are produced naturally from the must.

Ch'c'vò
A wine that changes with the vintage. This first year (batch: LCHV2024) is a 24-hour maceration of Montepulciano d'Abruzzo grapes with manual punching down of the cap from grapes harvested in October. The idea is a light summer wine, not too alcoholic and not too tannic, for easy drinking.
Afianco
Direct pressing without maceration from canopy-trained vines, harvested after good ripeness. Low alcohol content, fresh on the palate. Best drunk not too chilled so it can express its aromas.

notte fonda
A red wine made from 100% Montepulciano d'Abruzzo grapes. In particularly good years, we extend the maceration on the skins to extract additional aromas and the grapes are carefully selected. The result is a wine with a slightly higher alcohol content than the rosso, and with even longer aging potential. A wine that will evolve over the years.
All of our wines ferment spontaneously, from indigenous yeasts, are not filtered, and have minimal added sulphites if any.
